Bequests continue to make a big difference

The A+ Trust continues to be greatly appreciative of those supporters who remember the Trust through their Will. Income from bequests received more than 100 years ago continue to benefit both the Auckland DHB and its patients.

One endowment is the Costley bequest, which was received in 1882. It was more than £12,000 and it enabled capital works to be undertaken on buildings and facilities that are still used today. The nurses’ recreational facility is one such example. During our recent Make-a-Will week we had the opportunity to explain to a number of interested supporters how we use the bequest income that is received.

Bequests can be made for specific purposes such as funding research, improving facilities, for scholarships or for general purposes.

If you would like to know more about remembering the A+ Trust in your Will or to view a special DVD presentation hosted by Petra Bagust, please don’t hesitate to contact the Executive Officer Gill Naden at gnaden@adhb.govt.nz for a confidential conversation. Be assured that your request will be greatly appreciated and used very wisely.
