The Auckland District Health Board Charitable Trust, commonly known as the A+ Trust, was established in 1995 and is the official fundraising arm for adult services at the Auckland District Health Board (ADHB). Our overall mission is to support the Auckland District Health Board (ADHB) to provide the best care possible for every adult patient.

A message from Chairman of the A+ Trust

Dr Richard Frith tells us about his vision for the Trust.

Vital projects

The Trust has an important responsibility to administer funds that have been established through the generosity of individuals, families and businesses to support capital projects, specific research and education projects. In addition to this, the Trust raises money for special projects such as providing resources for hospital equipment and improved facilities for patients and their families. For every $1 donated 98 cents goes directly to our projects

The Trust is a separate legal entity from the ADHB. Money donated to the A+ Trust is kept separate from the ADHB and is reserved for the purpose for which it is given. For every $1 donated 98c goes directly to our projects. Read more about how we make every dollar count>

Meet the people behind the A+ Trust

The board of trustees of the A+ Trust is made up of a voluntary group of people who give their time and energy to provide guidance for the Trust. Meet the Trustees>

"I chair the A+ Trust because it does so much to enhance the opportunities for our staff and patients. I realise that the health dollar cannot provide all that is needed to ensure the very best care in the best environment and that the trust can fill some of the funding gaps.

We at the Trust are keen to continue to provide funds for research, education, staff support and recognition, clinical care and patient comfort."
A+ Trust Chairman
