Because it is important to be totally transparant and faithful to donors, the Trustees of the Trust carefully manage all money donated. Funds received from supporters are kept separate from the Auckland District Health Board (ADHB) and are reserved for the purpose for which it is given.

The A+ Trust receives donations from generous individuals, families and businesses and these vital funds are used to support a range of initiatives across the ADHB.

Our goal is to maintain a low cost administration regime to maximise these vital funds allocated to the various initiatives of the ADHB.

How we make every dollar count at the A+ Trust

While most of the ADHB’s basic costs are covered by government funding, it is the generous support that the Trust receives through donations that make many special projects a reality. We in the Trust keep our administration costs to a minimum – currently less than 2% of the funds we receive is used to cover administration costs. For every $1 donated 98 cents goes directly to our programmes.

"I am delighted to donate my collection of antique microscopes to the A+ Trust because I can’t think of a more worthy recipient. They have given me a lot of pleasure over my life time and I hope others will now get as much pleasure from seeing them on display as I have."
